Instead of this, get to know what you can do for them. Think of an action plan and set a deadline and ensure that you live up to it. Make sure that you do not give them all the answers. Your workers ask solutions from you because they want to absolve themselves from responsibility. However, when they ask for solutions from you, ask what their suggestions would be and how they’d want to handle a special problem. When you take care of this; you are going to be amazed about how you’ll gain lots of confidence in their abilities.
Provide them with some incentives like a dress down day. If almost all of your employees love coffee, you’d get an office coffee service to serve coffee as you work. You could also allow them to work from home for one day a week and see if it will increase their productivity. Also get to know them personally, know their birthdays, anniversaries along with other special days in their lives. This will make them feel motivated and will work hard and ensure the success of your business.
When your employees do a good job, let them know immediately through a personal email. You could also call them and inform them how happy you’re with their day’s performance. In case you let them know today, it’d be better than giving them a framed certificate a month from now.
